Compress Image uses lossy modes that trade some detail for a smaller file. Choose Maximum quality when fidelity matters more than size, and preview before downloading.
For Compress Image: Very large images may hit browser memory limits. Upload size is capped at about 25 MB per file.
Use a smaller source image, pick a larger size target, switch to Smallest file mode, or convert to a more compressible format, then retry Compress Image.
