Not every GIF needs to move. When you just want a still image to embed in a document, send in a message, or use as a thumbnail, JPG is a compact and universal target. This converter reads the GIF in your browser and writes out a JPG copy. Animation is not preserved — animated GIFs are collapsed to a single frame in the output. Because JPG has no alpha channel, any transparent regions in the GIF are flattened onto a background. The tool runs on-device and handles one file at a time, up to roughly 25MB.
