What data is processed

For on-device tools, your file is read and processed in your browser so the conversion or compression can run. We do not receive the contents of that file on Konvert servers for those tools.

Separately, when you visit the website, our servers may receive ordinary request data needed to deliver pages and keep the site secure. That typically includes your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, and the time of the request.

If analytics is enabled for an environment, we may receive aggregated usage information such as pages viewed and approximate region, through the configured analytics provider and under that provider’s policy.

If advertising is enabled, ad partners may process data via cookies or similar technologies as described in the Cookie Policy.

How uploads are handled

Most Konvert tools are on-device: choosing a file in the browser does not upload it to Konvert for processing. The file stays in local browser memory for that session.

Each tool page states its privacy mode. If a future tool needs temporary or server-side processing, that page will say what leaves your device before you start.

We do not ask you to create an account to use the tools. We do not use on-device tool files to train models or build a personal file archive.

When files are deleted

On-device tools: your file is never stored on Konvert servers, so there is nothing for us to delete there. When you leave the page, refresh, or close the tab, the in-browser working copy is discarded with normal browser memory cleanup. Download results you want to keep — we cannot recover a file from your session afterward.

If a tool ever uses temporary server processing, files are used only to complete the job and are not kept for later use. Retention for any such path will be described on that tool page and in an update to this policy.

Operational website logs are kept only as long as needed for security, reliability, and debugging, then discarded or aggregated according to our operational practice.

Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies or local storage may be used so the site functions (for example theme preference or basic session needs).

Analytics and advertising cookies are used only when those features are enabled. See the Cookie Policy for details and choices.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.

You can email privacy@konvert.in with privacy questions or requests. Where applicable law gives you additional rights (including for EU/UK residents), we will respond to verified requests.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
